1. Who we are
HostFalcon is operated by [REGISTERED SWISS LEGAL ENTITY], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], Switzerland. Privacy contact: privacy@hostfalcon.net (activate and monitor this address before publication).
2. Data we process
We may process contact and account information, order and invoice records, payment status, technical logs, IP addresses, support messages and security events. We do not need to store complete payment card details where a payment processor handles them.
3. Why we process it
Purposes include provisioning services, managing contracts and billing, answering support requests, detecting fraud and abuse, maintaining security, complying with law and sending marketing only where lawful.
4. Legal bases
Where the EU GDPR applies, legal bases may include contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interests and consent. Under Swiss FADP, processing must comply with its principles and applicable requirements.
5. Hosting customer data
For personal data customers upload to hosted websites, the customer is generally controller and HostFalcon may act as processor. A separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) should cover processing instructions, subprocessors, security, breach reporting and deletion/return of data.
6. Recipients and international transfers
Service providers may include data centres, billing platforms, registrars, payment processors and support tools. Their identities, locations and appropriate transfer safeguards must be documented before publication. Swiss and EU transfer rules may apply.
7. Retention and security
We retain data only as long as necessary for service delivery, statutory recordkeeping, disputes and security. Specific retention periods and operational safeguards must be confirmed against actual systems.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing and may withdraw consent. Requests: privacy@hostfalcon.net. Complaints may be made to the competent supervisory authority.
9. Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies support essential functionality. Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies should not be placed before valid consent where required. A separate cookie notice and consent controls may be necessary.
10. Changes
We will update this notice when our processing practices materially change.
